Man Shot on Mabert Road
Portsmouth Police arrested a man for felonious assault after another man was shot on Mabert Road on Thursday afternoon.
The report of the shooting came in just after 2 pm. Police retrieved the firearm and took a man and woman in for questioning.
An air ambulance was dispatched, and medics from the Portsmouth Fire Department rushed the victim to meet the helicopter.

Officers collected several items for impound as part of the investigation and ended up arresting Claude Vernon Campbell for felonious assault. The bond was set at $15,000 and he remains in the Scioto County Jail.
