An EMS call for an elderly man on the floor in back pain turned into a tense situation just after noon.
The EMS crew left the home and contacted officers after the man threatened to shoot them. They did not see a weapon.

By the time officers responded to the home, the man’s family was on the scene. After talking to the family, police learned the 75-year-old man was suffering from mental issues.
The Fire Department did not wish to file a police report, however, they wanted the incident documented.
