Man Threatens to Shoot Child in Wayne Hills
The recent string of unnerving incidents in the area of Wayne Hills continues. At 12:38 am, officers responded to a report that a man sitting at the top of the steps on Wayne Avenue threatened to shoot an 11-year-old child.
By the time police responded to the scene, the man had left the area.
While police were searching for the man, a Thomas Avenue caller also made a noise complaint. Officers said they didn’t hear any loud noises in the area.
Just after 2 am, witnesses reported gunshots on Thomas Avenue.
Police took an adult with warrants and a juvenile into custody. They released the child to his father and booked the man into the Scioto County Jail on the open warrant, then immediately released him.
