Manhunt After Muletown Mini Mart Fight
An argument over the ownership of a motorcycle spiraled out of control at the Muletown Mini Mart.
Just before 4 pm, a report of two men arguing about a motorcycle in the parking lot came in.
When officers arrived, one-half of the argument took off with a deputy in pursuit. The other half of the argument told deputies he might be armed with a gun.
Police said the guy who took off was traveling at a high rate of speed. Police finally caught up with both parties, and they reached an agreement on giving the bike back.
Child Reported Missing in Washington Township
A worried grandmother contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office at 5:39 pm to report a missing child. She said the six-year-old had been missing for 45 minutes.
The family had checked with friends and neighbors, but no one had spotted the boy.
Eventually, the child was located safe and sound behind a pile of cinderblocks on the property.
Truck Plunges Into Creek
Just before 9 am, deputies responded to a report of a truck in the creek on Blake Hollow Road.
The vehicle was fully submerged, so first responders weren’t sure if it was occupied at first.
They determined it was unoccupied but noted it reeked of alcohol. They also spotted track marks from where the driver fled the scene.
OSP is handling the investigation.
Loose Dogs Menace Myrtle Street
Just before 6 pm, officers responded to Sciotodale after a Myrtle Street neighbor complained their neighbor’s dog kept getting loose, coming onto their property and attacking their animals.
They described the dog as a large animal that resembled a German Shepherd.
Deputies spoke to the owners and advised them to keep the dog on their property or face a visit from the dog warden.
