🚨 McCall Road Meltdown: Stepfather Jailed After Violent Domestic Attack

Police say what began as a family fight on McCall Road turned into a violent domestic assault that left one man calling 911 and another hauled off in cuffs.

According to officers, a man told them his stepfather attacked him during a heated argument. The victim reported he was grabbed by the neck, thrown to the ground, and punched in the face multiple times. The only thing that stopped the beating, police said, was the victim’s mother pulling the stepfather off of him.

🚑 Officers immediately called for an ambulance to check on the victim’s injuries. Meanwhile, the stepfather — identified as Shane Jessee — returned to the home not long after. Deputies wasted no time: Jessee was arrested and booked into the Scioto County Jail on charges of domestic violence and strangulation.

Jessee appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court where the judge appointed him a public defender. Despite the seriousness of the charges, he was released on his own recognizance pending a preliminary hearing later this week.
