McDermott Overdose – Mom Fed Up
An upset McDermott mom called deputies at 9 pm to report that her son had possibly overdosed. She said there was drug paraphernalia in the bathroom and that her son was breathing and unresponsive.
An ambulance responded to the scene, but the man was awake by them. An argument broke out between the son and the fed-up mother. She wanted him to leave the home, and he went back to bed to sleep instead.
Officers explained her legal avenues to evict him.
An hour and a half later, they returned to the scene after a report the pair were arguing again. Officers learned the man had two open warrants. They took him into custody and transported him to SOMC for treatment.
Screams For Help on St. Rt. 73
At 11 am, a caller reported someone was screaming for help at the shelter house on St. Rt. 73.
A few minutes later, callers reported the man who was screaming was now walking toward the store. Another neighbor advised officers that the person was outside yelling that morning and walked back and forth between the park and the store all of the time.
Officers searched the area and finally located the man. They advised him to stop yelling.
Dogs Kill Deer on West Side
Deputies responded to the West Side after a man reported that loose dogs were killing deer that belonged to his no-kill deer hunt company.
The caller said he had managed to trap the dogs. The dog warden headed to the scene to collect the dogs.
Officers responded to Rarden after a resident complained that a homeless man living in the park was doing drugs. The caller said the man was very agitated.
A deputy spoke to the man and explained that the hours of the park were now 9 am to 9 pm and he would be arrested if he was there at night.
