Meth, Heroin Seized in Lucasville Drug Bust – Portsmouth Couple Arrested
The Southern Ohio Drug Task Force scored a major bust on Wednesday night after two traffic stops in Lucasville. Now four people are behind bars on drug charges.
Just after 8:15 pm, Task Force Officers teamed up with Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers to conduct two simultaneous traffic stops on St. Rt. 104 in Lucasville.
Once officers established probable cause, they searched the vehicles and found a boatload of dangerous illegal drugs.
According to Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman and Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer, officers found $38,000 worth of drugs, including 1,001 grams of crystal meth and 30 grams of heroin/fentanyl as well as other evidence of drug trafficking, like scales and baggies.
Police arrested Portsmouth, Ohio, residents, George Meade and Elissa Williams, along with Jehwaun Booker and Jazmyn Anderson from Dayton. Officers charged all four with trafficking and possession of drugs and booked them into the Scioto County Jail.
The case will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office, where the suspects may face additional charges from the grand jury.
This was Elissa Williams, 22, first time in the Scioto County Jail. Meade, on the other hand, has been arrested multiple times. The 26-year-old faced previous charges of DUI, parole violation, burglary, probation violation, contempt, and drug trafficking. According to Williams’ social media, she and Meade are engaged.
All four are currently held in the Scioto County Jail.
