Missing Child Feared to be with Murderer Located in Portsmouth
An out-of-town attorney’s office contacted PPD to ask officers to aid in the search for a missing 12-year-old. The caller said the child left their grandmother’s Brown County home earlier in the day with a 14-year-old and that someone picked the children up in a vehicle.
The caller was concerned the child may be with her father, who was just released from prison for murder. The child’s cell phone was pinging to the Portsmouth area.

PPD spoke to police in Brown County and began to look for the child. Officers located the child at King’s Daughters’ Hospital and took information for a report.
