12 Doses Of Narcan & Lost Woman Found

It took a whole lot of Narcan to revive a man who overdosed behind the wheel of his vehicle on Saturday. Officers also found a missing woman who wasn’t actually missing and assisted in ending the suffering of an injured animal. We’ve got the highlights from the PPD log in these next 11 slides. Suspicious Minds

  • Just after midnight, a caller reported two young males checking car doors on Kentland Avenue. The suspects were gone when police arrived.
  • A man with no shirt lying in the alley behind a 6th Street home prompted a call to police. Officers advised him to move along just after 5 pm.
  • Two people were seen entering an empty High Street home just after 9 pm. Officers issued a summons for them to appear in court.

Sexual Assault

Officers and EMS responded at 12:23 am to the homeless shelter on 8th Street for a report of a sexual assault. Police took information for a report.

Gunshot or Firecrackers?

Just before 1 am, a Jackson Avenue caller reported what sounded like a single gunshot. When officers went to check it out, a neighbor said she thought she heard firecrackers earlier. Police couldn’t find any evidence of a crime.

Can’t Stop The Music

Just before 5 am, police were called to 29th Street for a report of loud music. No one was there when they arrived.

About 45 minutes they were called back with a report that the music was louder than ever. Police said they couldn’t hear music or any noise at all. In fact, nobody seemed to be up and around.

Time To Go

Officers were called to 17th Street at 7:25 am for a report of a man wrapped in a towel who refused to leave.

He asked for an ambulance and was transported to SOMC.

Can You Spare a Few Bucks?

The Gallia Street panhandlers were at it again at 10 am. A caller said a man was harassing people for money.

An employee from AT &T explained why the fellow is there so often. They said they often find him sleeping in their dumpster.

Under The Influence

  • Just after 10 am, police received a report of a large fight and an OD in Bannon Park. The caller reported he heard someone say they had a gun. The person suspected of the overdose refused medical treatment. Police did arrest a woman on a warrant.
  • Police were called to Thomas Avenue for a report of people doing drugs in a parking lot just after 3 pm. No one was there when police arrived.
  • At 4 pm, police were called to 14th Street for another report of an OD. The fire department revived the victim.
  • A caller reported a man passed out on the porch of a condemned house on 8th street at 7:30 pm.

I’m Just Fine

Officers responded to Bob & Floyd’s on Chillicothe when a 76-year-old woman reported missing from Iowa turned up.

She had left home without telling anyone. She had her medication with her and felt just fine.

Police reported she seemed to be in good health.

A Dozen Doses Ought to Do It

  • It took a whopping dozen doses of Narcan to revive a man after a crash on Offnere Street just after 2 pm.
  • A caller told police he thought the driver had overdosed. He was still in the vehicle with his head on the wheel when the police arrived. Approximately 12 doses of Narcan were used to revive him.
  • The man didn’t know where he was or the date.  He complained of a numb arm.
  • The jail refused to accept him, so he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

Oh Deer

A horrific scene on Kendall Avenue just before 9:30 pm.  Police responded to a report of deer impaled on a fence.

The animal was not impaled, it appeared to have run into the fence. Police tried to get it to its feet but discovered the deer broke its neck when it hit the fence. An officer used their service weapon to end the animal’s suffering.

No Room At The Inn

Just before 10 pm, police were called to the Holiday Inn. A drunk man who was ticked off because the hotel refused to give him a room.  The hotel said he had no credit card.

His sober female companion agreed to take him home. The hotel filed a trespass order to bar him from the property.
