Portsmouth Police arrested a 47-year-old Baird Street woman in the shooting death of her 46-year-old husband after a domestic incident allegedly spun out of control on Wednesday evening.
Just after 6 pm, officers responded to a 911 call saying a woman had shot a man in the 1800 block of Baird Avenue. EMS and officers responded to the scene and found the suspect, Juliana Wilson, outside the home. Officers detained Ms. Wilson while EMS attempted to save the life of her husband, Anthony Wilson.
Mr. Wilson died at the scene. PPD Detectives were called to the scene, and officers from Ohio BCI processed the evidence. The Scioto County Coroner took possession of the deceased and transported him to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for further forensic investigation.
Police arrested Ms. Wilson and charged her with murder in the death of her husband.
