Myrtle Brown, 102, of Portsmouth, passed away Saturday May 10, 2025 at Hillview Retirement Center. She was born March 10, 1923 in McGoffin Co., KY, a daughter of the late Hobert and Mabel (Ferguson) Williams.
She was a 50 year member of Berean Baptist Church, where she served faithfully. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and loved spending time with her family. She was known as the “Queen of Hillview.”
Myrtle is survived by a son, David (Jenny) Brown of Wheelersburg; a brother, James Williams of Portsmouth; a sister, Ruby Stout of Dayton, 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Brown; two daughters, Loretta Davis and Carolyn Blackburn; grandchildren, Keith Davis, Shane Davis and Sherry Howell and a great grandson Cash Davis.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 PM Wednesday May 14, 2025 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (Wolfe-Nelson Chapel) in Sciotoville followed by Funeral Services at 2 PM with Pastor Steve Mann officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
