An elementary playground teacher observed inappropriate conduct by a couple, resulting in public indecency charges.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Northview Elementary after two individuals were observed engaging in sexual conduct on the school’s playground.
On the playground, deputies found Austin Nelson, 25, of Greenmeadow Court, Jackson, along with his wife, Alexis Nelson, 24, and their three children.
When deputies questioned Austin about alleged sexual conduct, he became argumentative. While the investigation was ongoing, Austin was detained.
Video footage from Northview Elementary was provided to deputies, showing the couple doing what seems like sexual conduct in front of their children, and with the possibility of being seen by more than 100 kids in Northview Elementary’s Success Program.
According to a witness, she was leaving for the day when she walked to the playground through the back door. She observed a male and female having sexual relations on the swing. According to her, both individuals zipped up their pants when she saw them.
Public indecency charges will be filed against the two. A police officer arrested Austin for persistent disorderly conduct and took him to Jackson County Correctional Facility.
