Police responded to multiple incidents of shots fired in Portsmouth during the weekend.
The first call came in just after 1 p.m. when a Howard Street caller said she heard gunshots.
Just a few minutes later, a North Hill Road caller reported hearing at least 5 gunshots. Police checked the wooded area near the reports but couldn’t find any evidence.
However, about 50 minutes later, another North Hill Road resident reported a gunshot. They said they spotted a vehicle driving away from the scene at high speed.
Officers detained five people and discovered a video of those people bragging about the shooting. They also observed red stains on one suspect’s pants and on the coffee table in the house.
They searched the home but did not discover an injured party.
