1. Officers Hunt For Rape Suspect
Portsmouth Police Officers joined in the hunt for a rape suspect on Thursday afternoon.
Hillsboro, Ohio, Police told them they thought the suspect might be at a Portsmouth home visiting his son.
Officers checked out the address provided but could not locate the suspect.
2. Overdose Reported in Wheelersburg
Deputies and EMS personnel responded to a Wheelersburg home for a report of an overdosed man.
People at the scene called back to say they were administering CPR to the man. EMS transported the victim to the hospital.
Officers responded to a report of an overdose in West Portsmouth just before 11 pm. The caller said the victim was unresponsive but breathing. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
Another overdose call came in at 4 am, this time in the South Webster area. Callers said the victim was barely breathing, but he was alert by the time medics arrived on the scene.
3. Van Stolen at Gunpoint in New Boston
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle stolen at gunpoint in New Boson at 11:30 pm.
Portsmouth People received a request for assistance asking them to check behind HIckie’s where the vehicle was allegedly parked.
A Portsmouth Officer provided assistance.
4. Overdose on Kinneys Lane
Officers responded to multiple calls involving drug activity on Tuesday evening.
Just after 7 pm, a witness reported drug activity in the 5600 Block of 5th Street. Officers spoke with a resident and also contacted City Code Enforcement in reference to a property where the activity was allegedly happening.
At 7:30 pm, witnesses reported a man down on Lincoln Street and said that people were attempting CPS to revive him. By the time officers and EMS arrived on the scene, the man had received a dose of Narcan and left the scene.
Also at 7:30 pm, police responded to a report of someone overdosing at Kinneys Land & Hutchins Street. Officers read one person their Miranda rights and took information for a report.
