Detectives and the coroner’s office are investigating the death of a 48-year-old woman found deceased in a Pedro residence.
Officers and EMS responded to the home for a report of an unconscious woman. When deputies arrived, medics told them the woman was deceased. According to the police reports, evidence at the scene pointed to a possible overdose death.
Deputies contacted the drug task force, and the detective collected evidence at the scene, including medications and a short straw.

The coroner’s office made arrangements to transport the deceased to Montgomery County for further forensic investigation.
