Officers investigated a report of an assault on a child just after 5:30 pm. The child’s father said the minor came home from a visit with its mother sporting a busted lip and claiming she punched them in the head.
The officer took photos of the child’s facial injuries, and the dad showed the officer photos taken right after the incident that showed a bloody mouth and nose.
When the officer spoke to the child, they claimed the mother hit them in the face and head and kicked them in the genitals. Officers forwarded the information to detectives for investigation.
