Officers Investigating Kidnapping Report at Super 8 Motel
Deputies investigated a bizarre report of a kidnapping at the Super 8 on US 23. Right before midnight, a caller claimed she was a 67-year-old woman who came to the hotel for a conference for those with special needs. She claimed she was being held captive on the second floor of the hotel.
When officers checked with the front desk, they said there was no one by that name at the hotel. They also checked the Quality Inn with no luck.

The call had been transferred from another county and a search of the number it originated from showed it was a Florida number. Deputies were unable to locate any victim or anything suspicious.
