A terrifying experience for an SOMC Hospice Worker attempting to do a home visit in the Otway area.
The woman said she was looking for an address on Long Run Road on Friday in order to do a patient care visit.
However, her GPS led her to a trailer with some partially boarded-up windows.
When she knocked on the door, a man in his 30s opened the door and grabbed her arm. He tried to pull her inside the trailer.
She fought him until he let go of her arm, then ran to her vehicle. She returned to Hospice headquarters and called the police.
Officers took information for a report and headed out to the location of the alleged kidnapping attempt.
They returned to the trailer at 9 am on Saturday and spoke to a man in the front yard. An officer transported him to the station for an interview.
While the kidnapper is not named in the police report, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office arrested David Bashore for kidnapping the following day.
Bashore has been charged with kidnapping and abduction. He is currently in the Scioto County Jail on an $85,000 bond.
