Paintball Punks Hit South Webster
Multiple people parked at the Country Store in South Webster contacted officers just before 10 pm to report that their vehicles were vandalized by paintball-wielding punks.
They said the vehicle drove past the store and fired paintballs at cars.
There’s been a growing number of reports in the county and in Portsmouth of folks being hit by paintballs.
A deputy responded to the scene to speak with the victims, but deputies were unable to locate the suspects.
Disturbed Woman Dances in the Middle of St. Rte. 139
A woman in the midst of a mental health crisis caused a problem for motorists just before noon on Friday.
Just before noon, a caller reported a woman in the middle of St. Rte. 139 dancing and attempting to stop cars.
A deputy found her on the side of the road and advised her to stay out of the road. The deputy determined the woman was having mental issues and contacted Shawnee Mental Health to obtain services for the woman.
Three hours later, a deputy accompanied a mental health worker to the woman’s home and stood by while a squad arrived at the scene to take the woman to the hospital for treatment.
Shirtless Man Harasses Railroad Workers
A CSX crew contacted police after they said a shirtless man harassed them in the 6000 block of Gallia and prevented them from doing their job inspecting the track.
Police could not initially locate the man, but officers caught up with him half an hour later in the 5900 block of Woodland screaming at no one.
Police said he got very upset when they tried to talk to him. Officers advised him to stay off railroad property or face arrest.
