A couple went to great lengths to repossess a telephone pole their customer failed to pay for. They whipped out a chainsaw and cut it down.
The property owner contacted 911 around 9 pm to say that her neighbors had cut down a telephone pole she’d purchased from them. She said she’d managed to pay them for other items that were part of the deal but didn’t have the $200 for the pole.
She told them she would pay at the first of the month, but the pair demanded the money now. When they knocked on her door, and she didn’t answer, she heard a chainsaw start up outside.
When she looked out, she saw them cutting the pole down.
Deputies issued trespass tickets to the neighbors. Officers explained that while the pole rightfully belonged to them, they did not have the right to go onto the woman’s property without her permission to cut it down.
