Parents Arrested After Kid Calls Cops
Just after 6 pm, a caller told police their dad hit their mother. The caller said the father was very drunk and throwing beer at her. Officers took both the man and woman into custody and transported them to the police station.
At 6:42 pm, an officer spotted an intoxicated man at the corner of 2nd and Washington Streets. Police discovered the man also had an open warrant. Officers took him into custody.
Woman Hospitalized After Domestic Assault
Just before 2 am, officers and medics responded to a report of a woman injured in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend.
An ambulance transported the woman to SOMC for treatment. Officers began a search for the suspect, checking Speedway and other locations.
When they could not locate the man, police headed to SOMC to take information for a report from the woman.
