Two people who’d already been in trouble with the law for stealing found themselves back in jail after an incident at a Portsmouth Store.
Officers headed to the C & N Variety Store on 8th Street after employees reported a man and woman stole knives from the store.
Police headed to the scene and took the pair into custody. Officers learned there was an open parole warrant for Shawn Pollard and open warrants for probation violation for Katie McGowan. Officers also charged the pair with theft before booking them into the Scioto County Jail.
Pollard is currently on parole for a burglary charge. McGowan currently had court cases for theft, grand theft auto, receiving stolen property, and falsification.
