Stay Home – But Be Quiet

• Police were called out to aloud party on 4^th Street just after 1 am on Wednesday They advised them to keep it quiet.
• Just after 2 am, officers were called to Summit Street for a loud music complaint. All was quiet when they arrived.

Suspicious People Behaving Badly

Just before 1:30 am on Wednesday, officers received a report to two people harassing a man with a cane on Kendall Avenue.

Dog In Danger

Just before 2 am, police responded to a Summit Street home for a dog stuck in a fence. The dog got unstuck but officers couldn’t get in touch with the owner.

The dogs at the home looked malnourished, to they sent for animal control.

Is That A Bullet Hole?

Police stopped a vehicle on 8^th Street just before 2 am on Wednesday. There appeared to be a bullet hole in the window.

Police issued a warning.

Are You Confused Yet?

Just after 2 am Wednesday police received a series of confusing reports that all turned out to be connected.

• 2:09 a woman told someone at the Super Quick, that her children had been kidnapped.
• 2:11 An employee called back to say the woman was threatening employees.
• 2:17 Police went to 29^th Street to talk to the woman
• 3:00 – An elderly man told police he woke up and there were 2 small kids at his residence that he’s unable to care for. Their mother is the woman from the Super Quick
• 3:13 – Officers left a message for Children Services
• 3:46 – Children Services responded

Officers were called out to Farley Court to assist Adult Parole in an attempt to locate a parolee. They finally made contact but the Parolee would not open the door.

We’re Going to Need Some Help

Thankfully, first responders were available to help two rather large individuals who took tumbles on Thursday.

Police were called to Alexandria House on Findlay Street just before 11 am on Wednesday to lend a hand when a resident fell. He weighed 550 lbs, so getting him up was a challenge.

Just after 1 pm, help was also needed at Hill View Retirement Center. A man weighing over 400lbs had fallen on the third floor.

Drugs & ODs

• At 1:18 pm on Wednesday, officers responded to 6^th Street for a report of a woman overdosing in a garage.
• Officers were called to the Woodbine apartments at 2:30 pm on Wednesday for a report of a woman overdosing.
• At 4 am on Thursday, police responded to a report of an overdose on the Scioto Trail. The woman claimed she was just asleep.
• At 6:30 am on Thursday, police received a repot of a man passed out in a car on 5^th Street. The caller alleged he was dealing drugs. The man appeared to be okay.
• Just after 3 am on Friday, officers responded to a report of an overdose on the Scioto Trail. Medics revived the man with Narcan. He refused additional treatment.

It looks like someone didn’t learn his lesson. Police were called out to 14^th Street just before 3 pm on Wednesday for a report of a man punching a woman holding a baby.

Joseph Adkins had a warrant through ODRC waiting for him.  This is one of the rare times in the past month someone actually managed to get booked into the jail on a parole violation.

Meanwhile at Kroger

Shoplifters had a busy day at Kroger on Wednesday afternoon.

• Two shoplifters were detained and warned Just before 4:30 pm.
• A mere 15 minutes later a man was also detained.

But they weren’t done with Kroger yet.  An hour after that, a man who had been trespassed from the store came back looking for a backpack that he’d left there. Officers warned him not to come back. But they did get his backpack first.

Just after noon on Thursday, police received a call from Kroger about a man stumbling around inside the store. He was invited to leave.
