Phyllis Jean “Sudy” Osborn, 86, of South Webster passed away peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, October 20, 2024. Phyllis was born, December 14, 1937, in Portsmouth to the late David and Annabelle (Marsh) Kaltenbach.
She was a 1955 graduate of South Webster High School. Phyllis played the organ from many years at South Webster Methodist Church. She loved collecting glass slippers and sewing. She had a love for music, especially playing the piano and organ. She also had a passionate love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Lavita Kempf and husband, Steve of South Webster; grandchildren, Zerek “Bruce” Kempf and Rebecca Sokoll and Stefan Kempf and wife Erica; great-grandchildren Vera, Ellis, Adler “Bruce”, Coen, Ava, Jack, and Issac; her favorite niece and nephew, Julie Osborn Samlow and Dr. Drew Osborn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry “Bruce” Osborn who passed away December 13, 2022; and a son Eric “Bruce” Osborn. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Carla Harrington, Mary Rawlins and Angela Woods. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. (NOON) Thursday, October 24, 2024, at South Webster Methodist Church under the direction of D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Sam Peters officiating. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.
