Pills Confiscated at Sober Living House
Just after 11 pm, a caller reported someone dealing drugs from a car parked in front of a sober living house on Walnut Street.
When officers arrived at the address, they spoke to the owner of the car who permitted them to search the vehicle.
Police discovered a baggie full of pills and impounded them. However, the man who said the vehicle belonged to him was not the registered owner, and no one else was in the vehicle.
He claimed multiple people used the car, so police didn’t feel they had a suspect. Officers took the pills to be destroyed.
Drunk Driver Puts Up a Fight After Crashing Into House
A suspected drunk driver put up a fight when Ohio State Troopers arrested him after an incident on Forest Drive.
Troopers notified the Scioto County Jail that they thought the man would be trouble just after 2:30 am.
They said he apparently drove around a home in a circle before crashing into it. OSP took the man into custody and arranged to have the car towed.
He was booked into the Scioto County Jail for driving under the influence.
Unlicensed Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Pole
A woman crashed into a pole at Slocum and Swauger Valley Slocum Road just before noon.
Officers discovered that the vehicle had two different VIN numbers and the New Boston Police Department had an open warrant for the woman for domestic violence.
NBPD Officers took the woman into custody. PPD cited the woman for driving under a suspension and failure to control. They also impounded a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle.
Man Disrupts Traffic on Gallia Street
Witnesses reported an older man in a muscle shirt and black shirts jumping out in front of moving vehicles on Gallia Street just before 3 pm. A caller said he was pounding on the windows of the vehicles.
First responders spotted a man leaning against the fence in the lot of the old Valero Gas. However, the man appeared to be sober and denied that he’d jumped into traffic.
About an hour later, a caller reported that a man in shorts had stumbled into eh Goodwill Book Store on Chillicothe. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, but paramedics said he seemed fine.
An officer took him home to his apartment, where his neighbors helped him to his apartment. They explained the man was dealing with some medical issues.
