The Pike’s County Sheriff’s Department asked Portsmouth Police to help them out with an assault investigation.

PPD sent officers to Southern Ohio Medical Center to speak with a man who said he’d been hit in the face with a pipe in Beaver, Ohio.
Officers took the victim’s information and pictures of his injuries, as well as a witness statement. They faxed the information to Pike County so deputies could continue their investigation into the attack.
