A 20-year-old Portsmouth man is facing serious charges after police took him into custody on Friday. Gabriel Milar was arrested and charged with the rape of a victim under 13, along with burglary. While the indictment notes the rape charge as “non-forcible,” the young age of the alleged victim makes it particularly severe.
Milar had already been indicted by a Scioto County Grand Jury back in February on charges of burglary, theft, and possessing criminal tools related to an October 13th break-in. According to court documents, Milar and co-defendant Ricky Blevins allegedly used a crowbar to force entry into a property, stealing tools and other valuables.
Authorities have also issued a warrant for Blevins’ arrest in connection with the burglary.
Details surrounding the rape charge remain scarce, as court records do not provide additional information. We will continue to monitor this case as new developments emerge.
