Portsmouth Police: Body Discovered On Walnut Street

The resident of a Walnut Street home found a woman lying behind the house at 5:30 pm. An ambulance responded to the scene, but the woman was DOA.

Officers photographed the body, the yard, and the interior of the home. Police said they impounded a meth pipe.

Missing His Wife

A sad call from a grieving husband. He contacted officers at 3 pm to report his wife missing. However, police learned his wife had actually passed away a few years ago and he was suffering from memory loss.

At 5:23 am, officers responded to the Royal Inn when a woman reported her ex-boyfriend kicked in a door and left.

Officers noted the mirror on the door was broken, but the door was functioning. Since the two are known to have issues, police advised her not to have him over and to call them immediately if she sees him. She was unhappy to discover that the motel would likely hold her responsible for damage to the room.

Neighbors Confront Group Over Needles

Three Kendall Avenue residents confronted a group of alleged drug users in the 1800 block of Kendall Avenue just after 9 am.

The caller reported a group of three women and two men left syringes on the ground. The caller, her boyfriend, and a neighbor argued with the group about it.

She reported the group was now walking towards 17th Street.

A caller from a local rehab facility asked officers to dispose of drugs confiscated during a patient intake. However, they did not share the name of the person with the drugs due to HIPPA regulations.
