Breaking and active at this time. There seems to have been a murder/suicide scene just steps away from the Terror in the Trees Haunted Attraction.
Shortly before 10 pm on Saturday evening the Scioto County 911 Dispatch Center received a peculiar call. Their request was for a Sheriff’s Deputy to meet them at a neutral location so that they could show them where something dreadful may have taken place.
Emergency Responders set out to assist. Several more deputies converged on the scene. More EMS was on their way, but the officers turned them back when they realized the severity of the situation.
Chief Deputy Blaine Duduit arrived at the McLaughlin Rd scene as well as Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman. It was decided to request BCI.
Listen to how the officer described the scene.

One female with “a lot of blood coming from the body” and a male nonresponsive on the bed. As this is a breaking story, we cannot tell if the female was even in the same room as the nonresponsive male.
There was a clear indication from the dispatcher that this was a “Code 32,” which is the homicide code used in all Ohio Sheriff’s jurisdictions. You can see that proof here.
They are still trying to convince BCI to respond at this hour. According to the latest phone call, BCI needs an official from the scene to leave the woods to obtain cell service so they can make a decision. The Scioto County Coroner’s Office is also now engaged in the investigation.
Update: BCI arrived just before 1 am. The road remains closed at the intersection of Millers Run-Fallen Timber Rd.
Just after 6 am, they announced that 2 bodies were finally ready for transport off the property. In a chilling discovery, there may have been a 3rd body.
That remains to be seen when police make an official statement to the press.
SCDN is still following this breaking story closely and will provide updates as we can.
