Pot Smoker Freaks Out on Rescue Squad
A pot smoker with personal problems kept local rescue squads busy on Friday.
Just before 5 am, a man called county dispatch saying he needed an ambulance. When the dispatcher asked what the problem was, he began to argue with a woman who wanted to know who he was speaking to. He told the woman, “Someone who cares.”
The dispatcher said the man was slurring his words and said that he’d smoked marijuana, he was going to be dead, and he was going walking. The man apologized and hung up.
Dispatch sent an ambulance to the home. However, when the ambulance crew arrived, they said there was some type of domestic dispute in progress and they locked themselves in the ambulance. They said the man was walking back and forth smoking a joint.
The rescue squad gave up when the man “ran into the woods like a feral cat.”
A few minutes later, police received a report from the Northwest Schools bus garage that the man was lying in the road surrounded by clothes.
Ten minutes later, a woman who lived nearby said she was walking her daughter down the driveway for school and the man was rolling around throwing clothing everywhere.
When a deputy arrived on the scene, they requested a rescue squad to come and check the man out.
