Murder Investigation Arrest

Just before 3:30 am, officers received a call that led to a murder arrest. New Boston Police spotted a car parked in a lot in Wayne Hills. The recognized it as a vehicle belonging to the murder suspect in a homicide investigation and followed it.

The name of the suspect was obscured in the police report so we cannot say definitely say it’s connected with the Holsinger murder in Wayne Hills until we have confirmation from the police.

The New Boston Officer didn’t have probable cause for a stop and his lieutenant told him to back off. About 10 minutes later multiple PPD units caught up with the vehicle at the Royal Inn and arrested a man whose name was concealed on the police log. Officers arrested a man on an existing bench warrant and took him to jail. They also dropped a woman off in Franklin Furnace.

They executed a search warrant on a motel room and the vehicle. In total, officers spent nine hours at the motel.
