Shots Fired?
Police were called to Thomas Avenue just after 12:30 am for reports of shots fired inside a building.
Uninvited Guest
Officers were called to Adams street at 1 am for a report of a raccoon stuck above a door.
Officers requested a catchpole be brought to the home
The trash panda eventually fled the scene. No charges were filed against the bandit.
Missing Father-In-Law
- A woman notified officers around 3:30 am that her father-in-law hadn’t been seen since that morning.
- He’d always come home before but she was concerned as he seemed depressed lately.
- Officers drove around to look for him but were unsuccessful. They took a report.
Hey, That’s My Stuff
Just after 4 am, police got a call from a man at the Royal Inn on Kendall. He told them his car had been broken into. Officers were unable to find the missing items.
Under the Influence
- Just before 10 am, police were called to 27th Street for a report of a man passed out on the sidewalk. He was described as tattooed and wearing a tank top. He was gone when officers arrived.
- Officers were called to Day One on 4th Street for a report of a client overdosing just before 2 pm.
- Just after 3:30 pm, a disturbance was reported in front of the Speedway on Gallia. When officers arrived, a mom told them it wasn’t criminal, just her daughter on drugs.
- At 5:25 pm, a caller reported a man staggering around a lot of some apartments on 16th Street. He was gone when police arrived. However, he did come back later. Officers barred him from the property.
- Just before 9 pm, police were called to Mound Street for a possible overdose. They impounded drug items to destroy later.
- A man called police to Alexandria Park just after 11 pm. He said his friend was drunk and talking crazy and kept trying to get into his car. By the time officers arrived, the intoxicated man had left wit a sober friend.
Domestic Disturbance
Police were called to Royce Street just after noon for a report of a man beating up a woman. A second caller reported a man kicking a woman’s car.
The woman declined to make any statements and did not want to file a police report.
House Check
- Just after 1 pm, officers checked in on condemned houses on Grant Street to see if they needed new boards.
- The also checked tall grass on Spring, Grant Street, and Hutchins.
- Additionally, they found more houses in need of attention of 4th, 5th, and 6th Streets.
Off His Dope
- Police were called to a Kendall Avenue Apartment for a report of a man and woman fighting just after 3 pm.
- The woman told officers that the man was “Off of his dope” and started throwing stuff around the apartment.
- She also said he took off with her car and apartment keys.
- The woman said this often happens when he doesn’t have his drugs. She did not want to file a report.
- Officers were called back to the apartment at 4:30 pm for another report of a fight.
- At 6:30 pm, the man returned and attempted to kick in the door. He was arrested and taken to the Scioto County Jail.
Drive-By Paintball
- A woman called police to her Kent Street home just at 11:43 pm.
- She said someone had driven by the home in a Mini Cooper and shot at it with paintballs.
- The paint had already been cleaned up. She suspected the mother of her husband’s child might be behind it.
