PPD Searches For Missing Foster Child

The Portsmouth Police Department has issued an urgent alert about a missing teenager.
They say 17-year-old Faith Gerber has gone missing from her Portsmouth foster home. They believe her to be a runaway.
As evidenced by police logs, children running away from their foster placements is a big problem in the county, which has one of the highest rates of children in foster homes in the state of Ohio.
Police describe Gerber as 5’4″, 120lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes.

BREAKING UPDATE – Just a few hours following our initial publication, we are pleased to inform you that Faith Gerber was found on Saturday night, the Portsmouth Police Department has officially announced.
PPD thanked the public for their efforts in locating the missing child.
