Pregnant Woman Arrested After Mom Calls For Help
Just after noon, a worried mom contacted officers to report her pregnant daughter was fighting with her boyfriend.
When police arrived on the scene, they learned the woman had an outstanding warrant. Officers took the woman into custody and booked her into the Scioto County Jail.
Window Busted Out at American Legion
Yet another case of someone busting out the window of a parked car in Portsmouth, this time at the American Legion Post on Gallia.
A woman contacted officers at 8:16 pm to report someone broke into her vehicle and busted out the back window. Police took information for a report.
At 10:20 pm, a Grandview Avenue caller reported that her live-in boyfriend busted out the window of her home and then fled the area.
The victim identified the man from a BMV photo and officers took information for a report.
Sidewalk Sleeper Arrested on Vinton Avenue
At 11:40 pm, a caller reported a woman lying on the sidewalk near the intersection of Vinton Avenue and Young Street.
When officers arrived n the scene, they took the woman into custody and took information for a report.
At 8 am, police responded to 7th and Harmon after railroad personnel reported a man attempting to set up camp under the viaduct. Officers were unable to locate him.
Passed Out at the Pumps
Just after midnight, PPD officers responded to a report of a man passed out inside an SUV near the gas pumps at the Super Quik.
When police arrived at the scene, they woke the man up. He did not appear to be in any distress, but officers were concerned because he was asleep at the wheel of a parked vehicle.
They advised him to walk to his mother-in-law’s home a block away and have her drive the vehicle. Store employees said they were okay with him leaving the vehicle there as long as someone picked it up by 6 am.
