Prison Employee Reports Threat From Coworker
An employee of the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office at 2:30 pm to report that a coworker had threatened to cause him bodily harm.
The man said he’d already spoken to his union rep, who had advised him to make a police report.
Deputies took information for a report.
Teen Flips Out After Shocking Discovery
A worried parent contacted officers just before 2 am to report that a 14-year-old was out of control.
The parent had discovered an older man was sending inappropriate pictures to the teen, and now the teen was screaming and throwing things.
Officers and medics responded to the scene to assist. Police took information for a report.
Gunshots Reported on Front Street
Just after 11 pm, a caller reported hearing several gunshots in the area of Front and Offnere Streets.
Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle near the boat dock, hearing shots go off, and seeing the vehicle leave the scene.
Officers checked the riverbank but didn’t see anyone or find shell casings. Witnesses told police that the people may have been shooting into the river.
High as a Kite at Fast Stop Market
Just after 4 pm, a caller reported a man in a silver Ford acting as if he were on drugs on the East side of the Fast Stop Market.
Officers took a man into custody for disorderly conduct and arranged to have his vehicle towed
