Prowler Reported on US 52
Officers responded to the scene of a recently collapsed barn on US 52 after a caller reported seeing two strangers with flashlights on the property just after 1 am.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered several men, two of whom had warrants. It turned out the men had permission to be there, so officers let all but one of the men go. The third man had an open warrant with the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office for a probation violation.
Probation advised the officer to serve the man, then release him with instructions to report to his probation officer in the morning. The deputy served the man and then gave him a ride home.
Female Bar Employee Followed By Strange Men
A female employee of the Stag Bar contacted officers at 3 am to report that two men in a white truck had followed her from Frank & Steins to the Stag Bar and were now sitting outside in a truck with Georgia license plates.
Officers caught up with the truck at the Marathon Gas station and said the driver tried to reverse out of the lot when he spotted the cruiser. Deputies also noticed a white powder in the truck. They held the men until OSP arrived at the scene.
An officer ended up giving the two men a ride to the Quality Inn.
Dog Attack on Dewey Avenue
Officers responded to Dewey Avenue at 10:30 pm after a victim said they were attacked by a dog and could not get away from it.
PPD contacted animal control and responded to the scene. An officer found the animal’s owner. The owner said they did not know how the dog got loose, but they put it up for the night.
Police informed the woman that animal control had been notified and that she needed to check all chains and leashes to make sure this did not happen again.
“Armed & Dangerous” Parolee Busted at Speedway for 12th Parole Violation
A parolee the state described as “dangerous and possibly armed” was taken into custody at Speedway around 4:30 am on Saturday.
Charles Blizzard, 41, was serving time for robbery before he was paroled back in 2016. Since then, he’s been arrested 12 times on multiple charges of parole and probation violation.
Blizzard has been booked into the Scioto County Jail 21 times on charges ranging from robbery to criminal damaging to contempt of court.
