Do you recognize these rings? They could be a crucial piece of evidence in uncovering the identity of the woman whose earthly remains were discovered by a hunter earlier this week.
Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman released pictures of three rings found with the body of an unidentified woman near Lucasville.
Experts say she’s been dead less than two years and was likely white and between 30 and 50 years of age. She was missing all of her teeth, and the bottom ones would have been extracted shortly before death. There was an abnormal growth on her right shoulder blade, which may have been noticeable.
Investigators also discovered a watch but did not release any photographs of the jewelry. They described the watch as being dolphins linked together to form a band.
SCDN located a watch that matched the description given to the press. Sheriff David Thoroughman verified that this is an accurate representation of the watch.
There are a number of women missing in the Southern Ohio area, and no word yet if this discovery is related to those disappearances.
