Roscoe Smith Jr., 71 of West Portsmouth, died Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at his home. He was born May 8, 1952, in Portsmouth to the late Roscoe and Bonnie Carr Smith Sr.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Shelby Jean Gilcrease, Elaine Bailey and Shirley Cortez.
Roscoe is survived by 2 daughters: Jennifer Henderson and Amber Smith, a brother Bill Perkins, 4 sisters: Donna Holcomb, Julia Smith, Laoma Spradlin, and Mary McClasky, 5 grandchildren: Joey, Brianna, Keaton, Cooper, and Carter, along with 3 great-grandchildren: Gage, Adaiya and Brice and a special friend Dale Hornikel.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home n West Portsmouth. Family and friends will gather starting at 11:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
