It seems that everyone likes a good Florida Man article. However, ’round these parts, we have our own breed of newsmakers. We call them the Scioto Man. Here are their reports.
Stranger Makes Threats on Robinson Avenue
A Robinson Avenue caller contacted police at 10 am to report a man came onto his porch and threatened him.
He described the man as wearing a hoodie with a hat underneath. Police caught up with a man matching the description at Goodwill, but he was not the guy they were looking for.
The victim said he didn’t want to make a police report, but he did want officers to identify the suspect and tell him not to return to his property.
Wanted Men Spotted in Condemned House
Just after noon, a caller flagged down an officer to report two men with warrants inside a condemned home in the 1600 block of 6th Street.
One man had left by the time officers arrived, but police did find a man with two open warrants on the scene. Officers served him with the warrants.
Man Busts Out Truck Windows on 7th Street
A woman contacted officers just after 1 am to report her brother had busted the windows out of her boyfriend’s truck.
The brother admitted he took a baseball bat to the windows and also used a stand to knock out the passenger windows.
Officers took pictures and information for a report.
Man Attacks Cars Near Anchor Pad Marina
Officers responded to a report of some bizarre behavior near the Anchor Pad Marina just before 1 pm.
A witness reported a man lying on the road who was kicking at cars as they passed. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a man in an agitated state.
An officer rode in the ambulance with the man as he was transported to the hospital. The man was involuntarily admitted and given a sedative.
