Deputies responded to seven wrecked vehicles in one hour on Sunday afternoon. The first call was for a vehicle blocking Shela Blvd just after 3 pm.
Ten minutes later, a jeep crashed into a utility pole on Railroad Hollow Road. EMS responded to the scene, and dispatch contacted Frontier. At 3:18 pm, witnesses reported a vehicle off the road near the Twin Bridges on US 52.
At 3:37 pm, a caller reported a two-vehicle accident on North Street. EMS and OSP responded to the scene.
At 3:45, an Oakes Avenue caller reported a two-car accident with one vehicle in a yard. Ohio State Troopers said they were currently responding to nine wrecks and were backed up. EMS and deputies responded to the scene.
At 5:22 pm, officers and EMS responded to a car on its side on Big Bear Creek Road. Shortly after that, a truck crashed into a semi on US 23 near Blakeman Lane. EMS and OSP headed to the scene. No one was injured.
At the same time, a vehicle went into a ditch on St. Rt. 140. The driver said she thought she had a concussion.
A tow truck responding to a two-vehicle crash on St. Rt. 140 at 8:40 pm went over an embankment and got stuck. Officers had to send for another tow truck.
A vehicle slid off the road and got stuck on Hardscrabble Road just before 9 pm.
