Shane D. Bays, age 33 of Obetz, formerly of Franklin Furnace passed away April 11, 2021. He was born May 23, 1987, in Portsmouth. Shane was a 2006 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and worked various construction jobs. He loved the history channel, reading and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his mother, Michelle Sanders, and step Father Charles Sanders, both of Franklin Furnace; Grandmother, Debra Holcomb of Obetz; one sister, Heather Bays and Fiance’ Daniel Valentine of Pickerington; two stepbrothers, Zac (Victoria) Sanders of Prestonburg, KY William Sanders of Greenfield; Stepsister, Louci (Harold) Stevens of Cynthiana, KY; one nephew Connor Jarrells; five step nieces; one step nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 (NOON) p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Ralph Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
