Sharon Ruth Bonzo Hardin, age 85, went to her heavenly home on January 18, 2025, in Portsmouth, Ohio, after an extended illness. Born on February 11, 1939, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Lyle and Mildred Bonzo, she was a lifetime resident of Scioto County.
An exceptional gardener, Sharon established and owned the Lady Bug Greenhouse in Minford for several years. She took great pride in her home landscape, which was always full of beautiful flowers. She and her husband, Ike Hardin, completely restored the Bonzo homestead log house, originally constructed in 1829.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister, Phyllis Bonzo Stevens. Survivors include her son, Chris Tyler Cunningham of Gulf Breeze, Florida, sisters Vivian Bonzo Woodworth of Searcy, Arkansas; Serena Bonzo Miller-Valcarcel of Minford; and several nieces and nephews.
A lifelong member of the Sunshine Church of Christ in Minford, she was a Proverbs 31 woman, cherished by all who knew her for her faith in God, devotion to her family, and love for her friends.
Visitation will take place at the Sunshine Church of Christ at 20 Barklow Road, Portsmouth, Ohio, from 1 pm until 3 pm. Sunday, January 26, 2025 with funeral services beginning at 3 pm with Jamie Riley officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
