Shots Fired Over Sugar in Gas Tank
A dispute over putting sugar in a gas tank got out of hand in Minford. Just before 4 pm, a caller said someone put sugar in her gas tank, and she was pretty sure it was a neighbor she’d disagreed with the night before.
Shortly after that, the neighbor called police to say the woman’s son was outside firing a gun in the air because he believed the neighbor had vandalized his mom’s car.
Officers responded to the scene and discovered the shots were fired into an embankment behind the residence and not at the home. Police told the man to stay away from the neighbor’s property.
Officers took information for a report about the vandalism and the shots fired.
Man Arrested After Gun Reported at Party Time Bar
Officers responded to a report of a man with a gun at the Party Time Bar just after 2 am.
Witnesses said the man was waving a gun around. When officers arrived at the scene, they detained a man and a woman and searched the car.
Police took the man into custody and impounded the vehicle.
