Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a very seasonal crime, a threat was made over a smashed pumpkin.
Just after 6:30 pm, a woman contacted deputies to report her neighbor had threatened to “whoop her ass” over damaged pumpkins.
The neighbor called deputies to report the woman was on drugs, harassing her, and threatening to beat her door down.

When officers arrived on the scene, they learned the argument started over smashed pumpkins. While nobody witnessed the incident, the pumpkin owner was concerned because her daughter was upset.
The woman suspected her neighbor because she’s displayed symptoms of possible drug use in the past, a story that was corroborated by neighbors. Officers said they would keep an eye on the area.
