A speeding driver has an unusual excuse for her action after officers pulled her over at 11th and Clay Streets just before 6 a.m.
She said she was intentionally speeding to get the officer to pull her over. She said a passenger in the back seat hit and choked her outside of the city limits. However, instead of contacting the Sheriff’s Office, she chose to drive him back to town.
She said the man had refused to get out of the vehicle. However, she did not want to file a police report about the incident.
A few minutes later, a Robinson Avenue caller said a man in a hoody threw rocks at her and threatened to stab her. Officers checked the area and spoke to the woman.
However, she did not want to file a police report.
