Stabbing Investigation in Minford
Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a report of a stabbing in Minford. Though the call came in Tuesday afternoon, the alleged victim said the attack happened on December 30th.
Officers had responded to the location for a report of a man bleeding from the head, but they had no report of a stabbing at the time.
The victim said he had lied to hospital personnel about the injuries at the time to protect another man involved in the incident.
He claimed he had been drinking with his attacker and that the two got into a disagreement and started fighting. That’s when he said he was stabbed in the arm and cut on the forehead.
The man told officers he decided to report the incident now because he cut himself shaving and was reminded of the earlier trauma. He was unsure if he wanted to press charges, and said he would consult a lawyer first.
Police advised him to contact them immediately if there was another incident.
