A man who had repeatedly harassed a local woman by calling in a phony story to police was at it again.
The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office forwarded a call to PPD from a man who said his girlfriend had been kidnapped and was being raped in a home on the Scioto Trail.
Officers were unable to contact the reporting party because he’d stopped someone and asked them to call for help before walking off. When officers arrived at the house, nobody knew what he they were talking about.
There have been repeated reports over the past few months that a woman was being held hostage and sexually assaulted. Each time when officers spoke to the alleged victim, she explained that the man making the reports is a stalker with mental health issues who had been carrying on the campaign of harassment for months.
