Portsmouth Police took a man into custody on a long list of charges after a call came in for a suspicious person near Bob Evens with tattoos on his face.
When officers responded to the scene, they realized the man was someone local law enforcement was already looking for. Officers took Richard Crabtree, 45, into custody on charges of theft, criminal trespass, tampering with evidence, receiving stolen property, theft, and possessing drug abuse instruments.
This was Crabtree’s 14th trip to the Scioto County Jail. Previous arrests include failure to appear, probation violation, felonious assault, violating a protection order, driving under the influence, driving with an OVI suspension, grand theft, domestic violence, burglary, negligent assault, and criminal damaging.
