Teen Overdoses on 5th Street
At 12:41 am, a caller reported a dangerous situation on 5th Street. They said an 18-year-old was unresponsive after a suspected overdose. Portsmouth Police Officers and a squad from the Fire Department responded to the scene.
Body Discovered on Carroll Avenue
Just before 5 pm, a caller reported a deceased person at a Carroll Avenue home. The caller said the person was cold to the touch and not breathing.
First responders declared the man deceased just before 5 pm. Officers assisted medical personnel and took information for a report.
Burglar Cuts Power, Tries To Kick in Door
A frightening experience for a resident of Lick Run Lyra Road. Around 3:15 am, the woman contacted 9-1-1 to report that someone attempted to get into her house.
She said they cut the power and tried to kick in the door. She then fled to her neighbor’s house with her children.
Police checked the area, but did not find the intruder.
