Teens Park in Ditch To Smoke Weed – Shares Plan With Cops
A teen weed smoker picked an unusual spot to light up. Just before 3 am, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Vernon Street. Witnesses said there were two people in the car.
When deputies responded to the scene, they discovered what appeared to be a wrecked vehicle in a ditch. They spotted an apparently sleeping driver and passenger inside. However, a deputy had to knock on the window several times before the driver woke and turned off the ignition.
When the deputy asked why he was parked in a ditch, he explained that he had pulled over to smoke weed. However, when the deputy asked if there was pot in the car, the boy said he didn’t smoke. Officers said they could smell alcohol in the vehicle. The young driver tried to start the car, but officers stopped him.
An Ohio State Trooper also arrived on the scene and determined the boy was intoxicated. His female backseat passenger gave officers multiple names and locations where she lived before confessing the truth. The trooper took the boy into custody for OVI, and officers took the girl home.
